WARSZAWIAK IN COURT.

Takes Out First Naturalization Papers, Preparing for an Appeal.

Herman Warszawiak, the converted Jew who was expelled from the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church last Sunday on a charge of gambling, applied for naturalization before Justice Andrews in the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon and received his first papers.

Herman Niemeier of 212 East Eleventh Street swore that he had known Warszawiak for five years and that he is a man of excellent moral character.

It was said that Warszawiak might use the naturalization papers in his appeal to the Presbytery in the Fall.
