4The event reflected on God’s ongoing call to the Jewish people, a call that had been evident throughout Scripture for over 4,000 years. LCJE members had recognised their privilege in participating in this calling by giving voice to God’s message for the Jewish people and by reminding the wider Church of the continued need for Jewish evangelism. The gathering emphasised the importance of building relationships within LCJE that fostered inspiration, partnership, and friendship, all for the glory of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Since the previous European conference, the Jewish community had faced severe challenges, including the worst mass killing of Jewish people since the Holocaust and a rise in antisemitism across the continent. These events had also prompted increased movement of Jewish people to Israel and Israelis to Europe. Against this backdrop, participants reflected on how recent events had shaped their ministry and considered where the current gaps lay, seeking ways to work together to address them.
